Greater Worcester Opera, Inc.

Founded in 2003, Greater Worcester Opera (formerly known as Worcester Opera Works) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose two-fold mission includes opera performance and education. The company produces mainstage opera and concerts, as well as touring opera for students. GWO strives to provide high quality, entertaining operatic productions to the audiences of Central MA, while at the same time providing valuable performing opportunities to the area's wealth of local, professionally-trained singers .

Greater Worcester Opera's current student performance is an original opera entitled Diamonds and Toads, with a libretto by Elaine Crane and music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  GWO also hosts "Aria Sing" in Worcester, a time and place for local singers to perform new repertoire, prepare for auditions and network with other singers.  Please visit Greater Worcester Opera's website for more details about the group and its events.
